COFIDE (Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo S.A.)

COFIDE is a mixed economy company with administrative, economic and financial autonomy. Its mission is "to actively participate in the sustainable and inclusive development of the country by providing financing for investments and the financial system, as well as support for entrepreneurial ventures, with creative products and services, while being socially responsible."

The capital stock of COFIDE is split between the Peruvian State, as majority shareholder and, to a lesser extent, the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF). From its creation in 1971 through 1992, it acted as a retail bank (first tier); however, as of 1992, it started operating as a development bank (second tier), enabling it to complement the work of the private financial sector in activities such as financing of investment in infrastructure and investment in production, as well as the export sector and micro and small businesses, through the structuring of operations and channeling of financial resources.

Its efforts are possible thanks to a corporate culture that favors transparency, respect, innovation, quality and leadership with a commitment to its institutional mission and objectives, aimed at achieving its vision: "To be recognized as a leading investment and development bank, with a culture of innovation and a staff committed to the sustainable and inclusive development of the country guided by excellent management practices."
