How Public Development Banks, commercial banks and financial regulators could contribute towards a shared ‘Nature Positive Agenda’?
During the event organized by @WWF at Finance Day COP16Colombia on “Banking on Nature Positive”, Nicolas Picchiottino, with other stakeholders Franco Piza, Sjoerd van der Zwaag and Elisa Vacherand shared their vision and input on the topic.
🎯 Key IDFC Actions:

· Publication of a “Biodiversity Toolbox” to support members in integrating biodiversity into strategies and operations
· Establishment of Make Finance Work 4 Nature, a collaborative group to promote best practices across the sector
· Events and training, such as the Nature-Based Solutions workshop in April 2023, to deepen understanding of the climate-biodiversity nexus
· Strategic 2023 Steering Group meeting with CEOs and special guest @Dr. Johan Rockström to drive actionable steps on biodiversity finance.

Nicolas Picchiottino, Secretary General of the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) took part in the event organized by E3G on “Country Platforms for Nature Safety, Climate Action, and Sustainable Development” at COP16 Colombia
On October 28th, E3G brought together decision-makers, experts, and stakeholders for a crucial discussion on exploring key linkages between national priorities in climate action and biodiversity.

💡 Collaboration, focused governance, and robust measurement systems are key for Public Development Banks to successfully mobilize resources to finance Biodiversity protection.
