The Common Principles: a new series of 9 e-learning videos

4 April 2025

Strengthening Green Finance Tracking for advanced Green Finance Mapping

By adopting best-in-class, robust tracking framework like IDFC/MDB Common Principles on mitigation, adaptation, and biodiversity which form the basis of the Green Finance Mapping (GFM), the IDFC members can ensure their reporting aligns with the GFM initiative in a common, consistent, transparent manner.

The IDFC Facility, in collaboration with the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), launched a strategic project aimed at designing and implementing a comprehensive capacity-building programme over the 2023-2026 period.

The project is designed to empower IDFC members with the knowledge and tools necessary to accurately track and report green finance commitments.

A New Capacity-Building Initiative

To further support IDFC members and technical experts from Public Development Banks involved in the purpose of Green Finance tracking, the IDFC Facility has developed an innovative learning programme that includes:

  • Annual dedicated workshops
  • Two comprehensive methodological guidelines—General Guidance and Sectoral Guidance—to equip you with enhanced tracking tools, decision trees, and sector-specific guidelines to streamline reporting processes and ensure standardization across key sectors like energy, transport, water, agriculture, and urban development.
  • An audio-visual e-learning experience with a series of 9 short videos, designed to provide a solid foundation before delving deeper into the guidelines.

Your Learning Journey in 9 e-Learning Videos
