FiCS hybrid event: Leveraging Public Development Banks for resilient communities: from social justice to just climate transitions
Hybrid FiCS event hosted by the Council of Europe Development Bank
The Finance in Common Coalition for Social Investment, co-led by the Council of Europe Development Bank and the IDFC member French Development Agency, is pleased to invite you to attend virtually a hybrid event on Thursday 30 March 2023, from 9:45 to 11:45 CET, on “Leveraging Public Development Banks for resilient communities: from social justice to just climate transitions”
As climate change disproportionately affects marginalized, poor and vulnerable communities, aggravating inequalities within and between countries, this event will discuss how Public Development Banks can help build a comprehensive social agenda, to support a strong and just transition, while ensuring that people are not left behind in moving towards a low-carbon economy.
The event, with the participation of M. Gilbert Houngbo, Director General of the International Labour Organization, Rémy Rioux, Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement, and Carlo Monticelli, Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank as well as other distinguished speakers, will revolve around how to foster the right policies and investments for social justice and decent work globally.
